Requirements
 
● Microsoft Windows 2000 with Service Pack 3 (SP3), Microsoft Windows XP, (Windows VISTA is currently being tested)
● 800 megahertz (MHz) or higher processor
● 128 MB of RAM (512 MB recommended)
● 1 GB of available hard-disk space
● A High Speed Internet Connection or Analog Modem (Internet Connection recommended)


The DWC
 
DWC regulations, expected to be approved later this year, will require the use of newly designed forms which are Optical Character Recognition (OCR) compatible. CompData will include all DWC-approved forms in its CompData 3.0 version
 
 
 
Questions & Answers 
 
Q: Will I still be able to use CompData to File Liens?
A: Yes, but not through an EDEX transmission. CompData has integrated the EAMS OCR forms for Liens, C&R and D.O.R. Many of the FORM fields can be auto-populated with data, from your CompData database, with a single mouse click.
Q: Will my ‘Pre-Application and Resident Inquiries’ still be on file and active after the August 25th 2008 move to EAMS?
A: Yes; although ‘Pre-Application Inquiry’ will now be referred to as ‘SSN Watch’ and ‘Resident Inquiry’ will be referred as ‘Case Watch’
Q: Will I be able to easily import my CompData version 2.78 into the new version of CompData 3.0?
A: Yes
Q: How much will CompData 3.0 cost?
A: CompData 3.0 will be free of charge to existing CompData EDEX subscribers
Q: Do I have to upgrade to Compdata 3.0 in order to continue utilizing the EDEX system?
A: Yes
Q: When can I expect to receive my copy of CompData 3.0?
A: CompData will begin the 3.0 rollout in mid-August.
Q: When can I start using CompData 3.0?
A: On August 25th, 2008 (EAMS Go-Live date). Before using CompData 3.0 for the first time existing subscribers will need to run the simple ‘Compdata 3.0 import tool’ to import all their old CompData 2.78 data into the new system.
